Terms and important information
A summary of how Strive4 works. The full client agreement is provided before any coaching begins.
Health and safety
Exercise is, for most people, hugely positive and carries substantial health benefits. There is nonetheless some risk, and you need to be aware of it. Before starting a programme you will be asked to disclose relevant health information — medical conditions physical and mental, injuries, allergies and medication — and to sign an informed consent and disclaimer.
Please keep me updated if your health status changes. In some cases you may need clearance from your doctor before taking part in a recommended programme.
Scope of advice
Strive4 provides fitness coaching and education. It is not medical, psychological or dietetic care. I work within the scope of my knowledge and competencies as a qualified exercise professional, and where it is in your best interests to see another health professional I will refer you appropriately.
Confidentiality
All information you give Strive4 is kept in confidence. Your personal details and medical information will not be made available to third parties unless you grant permission.
Sessions and rescheduling
Unforeseen circumstances occasionally require sessions to be rescheduled, on either side. The notice periods, cancellation terms and what happens if a session starts late are all set out in the client agreement.
The free workouts
The on-demand workouts are provided free and are general in nature — they are not tailored to you and no assessment of your health has taken place. Work at your own pace, stop if something hurts, and speak to your doctor first if you have an existing condition or injury.
Results
No outcome is guaranteed. What is on offer is a method, structure and accountability; the results depend substantially on what you do with them.
