1:1 and small-group coaching
A plan built around your reasons, not mine
Coaching is for people who broadly know what to do and want help actually doing it — structure, accountability, and someone to be honest with when a fortnight has gone badly.
How it works
Six things we do together
This is the structure I use with every client. The content changes completely from person to person; the shape does not.
-
Reasons to change
We write down why you are doing this, in enough detail that it still means something on a bad Tuesday. The more vivid the future version of you, the more likely you are to stick to the programme. We revisit these at every accountability call.
-
“I will” and “I won’t”
A short, specific set of commitments you agree to hold yourself accountable for. Not a wish list — a small number of things that will actually happen, or actually stop happening, during the programme.
-
Danger triggers and coping strategies
Certain situations reliably trigger old behaviour. We identify yours in advance and agree what you will do instead, before you are standing in front of the thing at eleven at night deciding on the spot.
-
Measurable goals
Goals with a number and a date attached, chosen so that progress is visible without becoming an obsession. What we measure depends entirely on what you are actually trying to achieve.
-
Two-week sprints
The programme runs in two-week blocks with targets for each, so course corrections happen every fortnight rather than at the end. Short enough to stay motivating, long enough to show a trend.
-
Accountability calls
We talk every fortnight — what worked, what did not, what changes for the next sprint. Between calls you can get in touch whenever you need support delivering on your commitments.
Also included
Programming and support
Alongside the accountability structure you get a training programme designed for your starting point, your equipment and the time you actually have.
- Warm-up, workout and stretch routines written out step by step
- Progressions so each movement gets harder as you get stronger
- Guidance on tracking that helps rather than harms
- Access to the full library of free on-demand workouts
How I work
The commitments I make to you
- Everything you tell me stays confidential and is not shared with third parties without your permission
- I work within the scope of my knowledge and competencies as a qualified exercise professional
- Where it is in your interest to see another health professional, I will say so and refer you
- Suggestions are suggestions — if something is not working for you, say so and we will change it
Full terms, cancellation policy and the health questionnaire are covered in the client agreement before we start.
Common questions
Before you get in touch
No pressure, no sales pitch
Start with a conversation
Tell me where you are and what you want to change. If I can help, I will say how. If someone else would serve you better, I will say that too.
